ALVER, One of the largest cafe in Gangnam, Seoul

My most frequent cafe which i go in Gangnam is Alver. It boasts a large indoor space near Gangnam Station where the land value is very expensive!

It is a good cafe to visit when you watch a movie at nearby Megabox or CGV Cinema. You can sit comfortably and enjoy coffee and dessert.

Cafe Alver in Gangnam

The location of Cafe Alver is located on the right side which is a few minutes walk up the hill from Gangnam CGV cinema building. 

On both sides of the road on the way, you can see restaurants of various genres. Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Indian curry, American restaurant and so on.

Whenever I see a movie near Gangnam Station, I use to pick one of the restaurants at the top of the Gangnam hill and drink a cup of coffee or other drinks in Alber.


Recently I went to Alver for the movie 'The Great Show man'. It was a rainny day.

After eating dinner, I needed to wait for the movie for about 2 hours and I went to Albert cafe.

Even though it was past 9 o'clock in the night, there were many guests at Cafe Alber.

However, it is not difficult to find a place to stay because it is a large cafe from the first floor to the second floor.

First, I made an order on the first floor. On the menu are most popular coffee and tea, fruit juices and smoothies.

Alver bakery

Bakery products include cheesecakes, tiramisu, cinnamon rolls, pound cake, cookies and scones.

I have never used a simple brunch like sandwich or salad.

Because we drink mainly Americano, dessert which we ate at Cafe Alver is tiramisu and brownie. Taste is above average or in average.

Alver is a cafe that enjoys space. You can sit at one of the widely spaced tables and have a good conversation with your friends and lovers.

I sat on the first floor today. The picture on the wall stands out.

A staircase leading up to the 2nd floor and a basement floor(F1). Chandelier on the ceiling is enormous. I think I can have a party if I just remove the table.

(It's a noticeable size that lets you play Sia's Chandelier on YouTube instead of blogging.)
