Itaewon Vietnamese restaurant +84 plus 84 / Beef fried rice 'Com Rang Bo' and pork rice 'Com Suon Nuong'


Itaewon is like a treasure house where foreign food is easily accessible to me. Today I found a Vietnamese restaurant in Itaewon. There are many Vietnamese restaurants near my work place, but is it different in Itaewon?
I was wondered about the name of the restaurant for a while.  Is +84 an address? Or is it a menu name? And plus 84 was the name of the restaurant.
Vietnamese cuisine, plus 84 menus. Today I ordered Beef fried rice 'Com Rang Bo' and pork rice 'Com Suon Nuong'.


Plus 84 is on the second floor. The interior is not particularly Vietnamese. There are plain tables and chairs gathered. The murals are beautiful.
The employees are probably from Vietnam. I thought it was Korean because the employees were good at speaking Korean. When they delivered orders to the kitchen, they spoke in a foreign language. So reliability rises!
It's a good idea to sit on the second floor window and watch the people passing by. Itaewon is a particularly good place to observe people.

The ceiling light fixture is pretty, so click! It looks like hot air balloons are on the ceiling. If I go to Turkey, I want to take a hot air balloon. (Suddenly Turkish balloons in Vietnam cuisine.)


I arrived at home carrying the food I ordered. The appearance of packed foods is a little disappointing. It is still known as a restaurant in Itaewon, but it is packed in a regular disposable lunch box. However when I eat, disappointment melts and disappears. When the food is delicious, the packaging is not important!


First is Com Rang Bo, a beef fried rice. Like bullet rice, it is piled up in an earthen bowl, but amount is suitable for one adult male to eat.
Variety of vegetables and beef fried well. Its smell is unfamiliar as a Korean. But the unfamiliar smell does not hate and delicious. It may be interesting to have foreign food,
Then, the flavor that brings up the taste comes. The fried rice itself is simply roasted and fried rice with plenty of vegetables, but the exotic flavor is magic here.


The second is a lemon glass roast pork rice Com Suon Nuong. In one lunch box, rice, herb leaves, carrots are included.
The white rice that comes together is just white rice. It is made of rice between Southeast Asian rice, which is common in most cases, and Korean rice.
There is a herb leaf that seems to be missing, and this herb leaf is really mysterious. Pick one leaf in your mouth and chew it. I do not think it's literally mint, but when it meet meat, It make a magic that makes the meat smell nice.
Roasted radish and carrot. It is not a common experience to eat carrots in this way.


And the highlight of Com Suon Nuong is pork.
The dried thing looks like a pig shell, but it is hard. Be careful of those with weak teeth. I do not think it will be a problem if you do not eat it because it is not that outstanding taste.
I see seasoned pork. This Pork is also good for soft and grilled well.


I did not go on a trip to Vietnam, so I do not know how much of the +84 foods reproduced the local food in Vietnam. It was delicious with a distinct difference from Korean food. Next, I will try the +84 spring rolls and anti-rice. I really enjoyed the meal.

Cheung kee, Hong Kong restaurant which meet in Seoul/ Wonton with noodle, Pork dumpling and Cheungkee fried noodle


I want to feel the memories of trip to Hong Kong. I went to Cheung kee restaurant which has a head office in Hong Kong. Cheung kee restaurant is located a little away from main street of Gangnam in Seoul.

The inside of Cheung kee is simple and does not have a lot of interior decoration, so it gives a feeling of Hong Kong local restaurant. It is also good for a Chinese character that hangs on a clean wall. If it had been overdecorated with this thing, I think it had a bad atmosphere.



The menu is simple for a Chinese restaurant. It is based on Hong Kong style dishes, so we are offering some kinds of Wonton, Pork dumpling, and Jajang romien noodle. The price range is a little bit high, but the amount of foods are enough. It is a good restaurant to share with other people rather than visiting alone.

Wonton is shrimp dumplings, and Sugyo is pork dumplings. In China, it is basically called water dumplings. And Romien, who seems to give you a taste of Jjajang. I wonder what flavor it is.


The radish comes out as a side dish. The color is pinkish, but the taste is sweet and savory. There is a tea instead of water like a Hong Kong restaurant.

It is a very spicy Chili black bean sauce. I make sauce with red vinegar, but keep in mind that it is very spicy. A magic sauce seasoned with black pepper. I personally want to put all the soup in the world is this seasoning.
How to eat Wonton delicious is introduced. 


It is Cheungkee fried rice which came out first. It is a very porky pork fried rice that is different from egg fried rice.

I like the rice because it fries until just before hard. If you like stiff fried rice like my case, you'll surely like it. Again, I cooked rice cooked in a strong fire, so I can not stand the rice and go until just before it is hard.


But that's why the more delicious taste is alive. These fried rice must be chewed for a long time. By eating fried rice in a hurry, you can not enjoy the real flavor of the fried rice in half.

It is the seasoning which comes out with fried rice, but it is enormous when you put it in fried rice and rub it. The flavor of the sauce is strong, so it may harm the original taste of fried rice.


The second dish is Wonton wnoodle.  Shrimp dumplings and wonton are thinner than the Marx noodle dishes that Hong Kong has eaten locally. I'm sad. The price is more expensive here.

But I feel comfort that I can eat Hong Kong's Wonton with noodle in distant Korea.



The third order menu, Wonton and Sugyo. Like I said before, it looks like a water dumpling. Unlike the usual water dumplings, it is served with broth.

The elongated food hangs on the side and is pork dumpling. If I order Wonton noodle, should I look first noodle? The egg noodle is hard to find in Korea and I wonder how Cheungkee can reproduces it. And It reproduced the noodle about 80%  which I ate in Hong Kong. It is wonderful.

It is not as good as Hong Kong, but it is a good taste to bring back time in Hong Kong. I have saved the unique texture of the Cheungkee egg noodle. 

Gangnam Cheungkee's shrimp is tangent, but it is smaller than Hong Kong shrimp. The shrimp in Hong Kong was either given special training or muscular, but Korea's shrimp are a little thin everywhere.
Still, heaven, sky, and cool soup are combined in one blood, Chungking's handmade pork dumplings bring out the flavor I imagine.

Gangnam Cheungkee noodle reproduced about 80% of Hong Kong memories. I usually rate local recipe at 70% when it is good, 80% if it is great. Maybe it was just before the trip to Hong Kong, so maybe Cheungkee has memorized corrections. However, the egg noodles are definitely porked and the Wonton is tangy, and above all, the fried rice is surely delicious.
Next, i will look for Cheungkee roman and vegetarian dishes. I really enjoyed the meal.

Korean handmade burger restaurant 'Pung Ryu Rang' in Dogok-dong, Gangnam/ The power of Gamseong patty


I visited the handmade burger restaurant 'Pung Ryu Rang' which opened in Dogok-dong. It's not like selling a burger at all when you see outside it, but it's a unique restaurant that sells delicious burgers.


It is Pung Ryu Rang of Dogok-dong in Gangnam. It is more like a shop selling Izakaya or Japanese food than a handmade burger restaurant.

It is said to be a homemade burger brand made from the nearby aged meat restaurant 'Gamseong Gogi'. It is said that it makes a patty using the meat of the Gamseong Gogi which is famous for the aged meat, and the evaluation of other blogs has a lot of compliments about Patty.



The inside of the restaurant is a picture. Wooden interior and low tables are not like a burger house at all?
I feel relaxed at the wooden table. Sitting on a wooden table with a warm feeling, open my mouth wide open for the burger! I can not help thinking.

It is a signature of Pung Ryu Rang. It is the first Pung Ryu Rang's burger. It is a simple composition that puts only the aged beef cattle patty and the cheddar cheese in the domestic wheat. Price range is 10,000 won.
I can put other bacon, eggs, avocado etc, and I chose avocado and bacon this time. Burn, made from domestic wheat, picked brioche. In addition to the above menu, you can also make your own burger by adding toppings to the burger. Personally, I'd like to shout Patty Double!


Let's order Patty baked. Wait about 10 minutes and the packaging is complete. Now I should go home and eat?

The paper that comes with the menu is a sticker with a good feeling. It has become my bookmark.

It is a little sad because it does not have plenty, but if there is too much avocado, it is easy to feel it.

The pride of Pung Ryu Rang, the ripening of Gamseong Gogi, the cut of the meat patty! The cross section looks like medium rare. I enjoyed the medium rare in rare, so it was perfect to have baked it, but if you prefer patty like a burger king, you should tell me what you want when you order.

I have just eaten a hamburger at the temptation of two bacon, but I have a heart again in my eyes. On some blogs, I have been talking about the Burgundy hamburger as 'Patty has done it', but that is the way it is.

Something terrible is not a sauce or a tasty meal, but Patty is the top class of hamburgers I've ever eaten. No, I remember the memories of hamburgers I ate before, and my tongue tells me that Patriot Patty is a time number one.
Patty, which is made from medium rare and softly wrapped around the tongue, is still alive. Pung Ryu Rang shows the power to keep eating with the obvious admiration that the word "aged" was true.

After I had finished eating the burger, I thought I would have to eat a patty and cheddar cheese burger next time. If the burger is as tasty as the air freshener, the sauce, avocado, bacon and so on are just an obstacle that confuses the taste of the patty. Every time I bite into the Burgundy burger, I eat the same pure patty as it is, and I heard a strong feeling that I would be satisfied enough even if I only enjoyed the patty flavor.
Homemade Burger in the near future When cooltime comes back, I want to enjoy it again. I really enjoyed burgers of Pung Ryu Rang.

Seoul Travel/ Namsan drive-in theater and DDP/ Megabox EOE4 and Dongdaemun Design Plaza


Recently I went to Namsan drive-in theater and DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza).
This is Namsan drive-in theater. I knew for the first time today that there is a drive-in theater in Korea, and it is also in Seoul.
At first glance, it looks like a parking lot, and it still seems to be used as a parking lot. If there was no screen in the center of the picture, it would have been just a parking lot.


The name of Namsan drive-in theater is Megabox EOE4, which means 2024. The movie screening time is from 20:00 to 24:00. The movie is shown only two or three times a day.
Actually, I tried to post about the Namsan drive-in theater because I wanted to talk about the drive-in theater which is now gone and only the screen is left.
I thought it was just a facility because it was a movie theater that was just closed from the outside. I think that there are some people who prefer to enjoy movies in a private space from another blog.

I was surprised to see a drive-in theater that I saw in American dramas and movies for a while in Seoul, Korea. I found an another car theater in Jamsil by google search.
It was an interesting experience because I felt somehow exotic. Next time, you can watch movies directly in your car. 


Walk down the Namsan drive-in theater for a while and the DDP Dongdaemun Design Plaza will appear.
Something feels like a very UFO. When there is a big change in the country, it suddenly flies in the air and it seems like it will defeat the villain.


It is the way to the inside of the DDP like space ship. Foreign tourists admired and photographed here. I cut in and snap, too!


The inside of the DDP consists of a shop selling first floor design products and a co-work place for second floor designers.


Tenbyten is famous for its online shopping mall. It did not seem to be selling something great that could only be bought at DDP. It is a little disappointing.
There are also a variety of design items on sale at stores across the street from TenbyTen.


K-POP star items for foreign tourists are also noticeable. This is SM town.

Here you can decorate your bag with the pins of your favorite star.


The second floor is Co-op Place with a cafe. It's a place where designers can work, but there are some people on the weekends. I hope that everyone who returns and works on weekends will do what they want.

The space that is not opened is also seen. The stunning looks a little lower than the stunning looks. It was a weekend, but there were not many people than I thought.

It was not a great thing but a walking trip. Still, walking like this, watching people, watching the world, it feels like a open mind. Don't be lazy in the future and walk sometimes like today. I was happy.
